A debate over the weekend brought some fresh topics to the Governor’s race as attendees presented their questions. Three of the candidates for Governor debated in Colorado Springs on Saturday. Voters will see nine questions on the ballot this fall, including the controversial personhood amendment, which is back before voters for a second time. Amendment 62 would define personhood from the beginning of biological development. At a time when becoming a farmer often means a large initial investment, or when generational farms seem to reach near the end of the line…or when landowners simply might not have the time, experience, or desire to ranch or farm their property, there’s a new program that seeks to pair next generation farmers with land owners.
