Dear KRCC Members, Fans and Friends,

We are very pleased to announce the launch of The Big Something! It will be big and it will be something and it will exist exclusively here on the World Wide Web at KRCC.org.

What is it, you ask? The Big Something is dedicated to exploring all things esoteric, strange and amazing about the KRCC listening area through videos, images, audio slide shows, podcasts and links. Each weekday, Noel Black and Delaney Utterback will send out an email featuring one big something: voyeuristic peeks inside local architectural treasures, candid profiles of obsessive compulsive salt and pepper shaker collectors, sneak previews of lost treasures squirreled away in the basements of local museums, mind-boggling podcasts of in-studio visits with the world’s greatest musicians, heart-wrenching interviews with infamous authors, historical curiosities, cultural oddities, far-fetched thoughts, outlandish ideas, and directions to the lairs of local superheroes, of course!

If you’d like to get The Big Something delivered to your email inbox each day, please sign up for our email list in the box on the upper right hand side of the page here and we’ll mail it to you! The email will also contain links to streaming audio of KRCC news, reader submitted stories, photographs from our Flickr group, alerts about upcoming shows, promotions and lots more.

Some of the Big Somethings will show up on the radio, but most of them won’t. So you’ll have to come here or sign up for our email list if you want to get the latest updates. Of course we hope you will and that you’ll forward them to friends and ask them to join our list and become members of KRCC too!

Your comments and suggestions and critiques on past, present or future Big Somethings will always be welcome! We’ll see you back here tomorrow for the very first Big Something!
