Watch Our Slide Shows on YouTube!

If you’re one of the lovely individuals who has, in spite of your loveliness (and perhaps because of your older computer), been having difficulty watching some of our slide shows, we have good news:

Our YouTube Channel is now full of video versions of the slide shows. We’ll also be posting links to the video versions of the slide shows from here out, which will also allow you to view them on your iPhone and other mobile devices.

Cheers!

This Weekend: Punks and Monks At Rubbish, The Messenger

If you saw our two-part series on artist and Orthodox monk Luke Shaffer, you might want to drop by The Rubbish Gallery off of Bijou Street between Tejon and Cascade this evening beginning at 5 p.m. and going on into the evening. Luke’s work will be on display and for sale in a show titled… “Monks and Punks”!

In our ongoing effort to promote community-wide thought and understanding about our military community, we highly recommend going to see The Messenger at Cinemark Carefree Circle Cinemark Carefree Circle. We’ve seen a screener and feel the film depicts an emotional side of military life rarely seen by civilians.

You Say Bewna, I Say Buena…

If you’ve lived in Colorado for even a short time, no doubt you’ve heard the town name Buena Vista pronounced in a variety of unusual ways, not the least of which is “Bewna Vista.” After years of uncertainty about the proper pronunciation, Noel Black went to Buena Vista to seek the truth (right click on the link to download or click the play button to stream):
