I love how 3 generations of family are enjoying the same area of nature. Can't wait to see more seasons and new beautiful music.

Yes, I did look (this morning) at this very beautiful tribute to our favorite walk. When I walk that particular trail, I feel quieted, and I feel connected to this ancient earth. I belong there. It was also a place of high adventure for a pair of our now-deceased hooligan dogs, Elsa and Toby. If we didn't walk them often enough, the escape artists walked themselves. Toby's rattlesnake curiosity once resulted in a strike between the eyes. Even at his advanced age,he survived nicely and his dogheimer's improved. Another time he was double teamed by a pair of hungry coyotes who thought he would make a tasty snack. Momzilla came to the rescue, and he suffered only a bite on one ear.

This is such a curious juxtaposition of occurrences. Took a break from reading BTAG - a copy that Steve Harris loaned me - to look at your photos (which are lovely - particularly the 6th one (Gateway Rock?), in which the evergreen leaps out against the white of the rock.) During all of this Steve's Grassroots Revival is playing in the background, and I find the connections and synchronicities of it all quite wondrous.

Hi Noel,

You have inspired me to order Beyond the Aspen Grove from Covered Treasures Bookstore in Monument. Your GOG images are beautiful and your choice of music was perfect.

Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts and photos.

Sincerely, Mary

The magpie wing is a gem! Nice work Noel! No matter how little funding goes the way of our open spaces, you can't beat Mother Nature. I enjoyed the music, as well.

It's nice to have a reminder to slow down. Our lives are so busy and fast, and it is a gift to take even 5 minutes to look at something we hadn't seen before, or to read about something that makes us stop and think. When I was in class with Ann, she asked us to hike slowly, to stop and really look. I got to the point where I was turning over stones to see what was underneath (most often a big spider), but her "lessons" highlight the journey rather than the destination. Beautiful photos Noel!
